Challenge

For most people The Good Life depends upon feeling good and looking good in their bodies. However, many people find that unwanted facial and body hair make this feeling difficult to attain. But now there are new options, as Palomar's E2000 surpasses Epilaser as the next level of the faster, safer, more efficient and more user- friendly hair reduction made possible by laser technology. The challenge is to deliver this information to patients in a doctor's waiting room in a way that will bring them into a comfort level with the procedure and also highlight the benefits it can bring to their lives.

Solution

Taastrup hotel roomsAn entertaining, "viewer-friendly", six-to-eight minute video that illustrates how the E2000 works, explain why doctors recommend it, and catalogue some of the positive changes people have experienced after treatment. Patients should come away from the video with an enthusiasm for their personal potential with laser hair reduction, and a clear preference for the E2000 as the laser they would want for their procedure.

Creative Treatment

The Video opens with a brief stock footage montage showing attractive people enjoying "the good life" at a Caribbean beach club, eating at a casual dress outdoor restaurant, playing volleyball or in other situations in which skin is exposed with an engaging musical background. This segues to short sound bites from people giving their "testimonials" about the difference laser treatment has made in their quality of life. Then the E2000 is introduced in dramatic visual fashion, as graphics and narration highlight its compelling advantages and benefits over any other form of hair reduction, including other laser treatments.

A "documentary" sequence then follows a selected patient through a treatment, after which the patient comments about her positive experience, and the doctor talks about how the E2000 made the treatment faster, safer and easier for the patient, as well as his complete faith in the device. A reprise showing the user-friendly way in which the device works is intercut with close-ups revealing specific areas of improvement on other patients such as chin, legs and bikini lines for women and shoulders and back for men. A final graphic build presenting a summary of benefit points leads to a short reprise of stock footage and music with a reminder that what the E2000 is ultimately all about is feeling good about the way you look and getting more enjoyment out of life.
