 | | | | Band - GREEN DAY | January 31, 2005 Green Day at Manchester Arena - Saturday Night It was absolutely mindblowing to say the least - After New Found Glory... One of Scott's favourite bands - had warmed up the crowd with a display of their HITS: All Down Hill From Here, Hit Or Miss, Dressed to Kill, etc... etc.. We were itching for the main event..... Then this drunk, pink rabbit comes out to the tune of YMCA and starts winding up the crowd...while we are all looking at each other trying to figure out what is happening...the lights go down and this classical music starts and the American Idiot flags rise up at the side of the stage and the Gods of Punk Rock...GREEN DAY...Run on stage! Billy Joe said Hi and went straight into the first few bars of BURN OUT then stopped dead and changed to AMERICAN IDIOT....The show had begun.... Jesus of Suburbia... St Jimmy....Holiday.... Basket Case.. King For A Day.... Brain Stew/Jaded..... Just about everything you wanted to hear... Then the encores were: We are The Champions... Homecoming....Time Of Your Life!!! Probably the best show of our lives....
| | Ed - Ed's Latest | January 01, 2005 Hey guys what's up? How was Christmas for u lot? I hope u all got what you wanted. Crimbo 4 me has been gr8 I got 2 c all my family and friends and the look on my nephew and nieces faces when they had to try prawns was priceless (they seemed to like it though). The Christmas show at the Ministry was gr8 fun and we even got a Christmas dinner when we got there how cool is that (which tasted fantastic by the way, complements to the chef). I'm not joking u, the Santa on the show was the REAL Santa! He was, he even came in a sledge with reindeer which is what Ricky Gevais was sitting in at the beginning of the show. That man is the funniest man on the planet! He was cracking jokes all day and had us and the crew in stitches I mean I nearly wet myself. Well Christmas has come and gone and the New Year is with us, all in time for the release of Calendar Girl, and it looks like life is about to get even more crazy. GOOD! That's how I like it. We are just about to start a schools tour along with more T.V. like Top Of The Pops Saturday on the 8th of January, more studio work for the album and loads, loads more so keep logging on to keep up to date with what we're up to. I hope the coming year brings u guys lots of noise, lots of laughs and above all lots of fun. Happy New Year everyone, later's, Ed... | | Craig - Craig's New Year's News | January 01, 2005 Hi guys how's it going? Hope you all had a good time and got everything you wanted, and played your CD's as loud as you could!! (sorry parents). I am really looking forward to the year ahead!!! We've got the release of CALENDAR GIRL, books, the album, which is sounding great and much more!!! I can't wait!!! | | Scott - Scott's Festive Update | January 01, 2005 Hi guys how's it going? Christmas has been a real roller coaster ride. Is it just me or does Christmas shopping get harder every year? It's good fun though. Hope you guys all had fun over the festive season, opening up your pressies and eating the Christmas dinner, which in my opinion is the best part of Christmas. What could be better than having the whole family round for dinner except this year Mum didn't burn the turkey! HA HA only joking, Mums a great cook!!!!!! There was the matter of the annual family board game, every year my team looses and I thought that this year as it was Trivial Pursuit I was gonna win, in fact I was determined to win. Guess what happened? I lost again.......!! but it is not about winning it was so nice to see the family any way. Hope you guys had a good Christmas. Thanks for all the support you have given us in 2004 you've been fantastic Have a great new year Laters... Scott | | Scott - Scott's latest news | November 26, 2004 Yo peeps... good to be back on the journal again after a crazy few weeks on the road again. The maddest part besides me was rushing from one fireworks gig to another in Wales a couple of weeks ago with only half an hour to spare between stage times! Then back to Kent that night for Ministry of Mayhem the following morning, that was another 600 mile day for us. Last Thursday night we performed in Plymouth in the pouring rain, but all you fantastically crazy fans still came out to see us! which was great! Afterwards we had to drive to Hull for the Children In Need performance the following day which was absolutely amazing as we used to watch it every year since I can remember, and with it being the 25th year, it was even more special for us. Ed and Craig have been calling me a right wimp all week as I've been complaining about the cold, but once I get on stage at these outdoor gigs I soon warm up when I get behind the drums! See you all later, over and out..! SCOTT | | Ed - Ed here with the latest goss | November 26, 2004 Hey hey guys, hope you've all been making lots of noise listening to our single which thanks to you guys stayed in the top 40 for 3 weeks!!! It's great to be back on the website again, sorry it's been so long but life has been completely mad as usual. We had an amazing gig in Wales a couple of weeks ago where we performed at a rugby stadium where our fans invaded the pitch after I ran across it in the middle of a song. It was total anarchy which is how we like it. We were in the studio the other day writing and recording for the album which will be out early next year, so every chance we get right now to grab a day from our diary, we're in the studio. All these Christmas lights gigs we're doing is getting me worried about how I'm going to fit in my Christmas shopping this year, I'm off to Canada next week for a couple of days so I might catch a couple of hours in the shops over there if I'm lucky! We've got a photo shoot for It's Hot magazine this Thursday, so we will let you know when that's going to be out. It's time to go on stage now at the BRMB event, so I better get going. Catch up with you soon, keep logging on. Later, ED… | | Craig - Craig's Latest Update! | November 26, 2004 Hey guys, sorry it's been a while since the last journal entry but our diary has gone completely nuts over the last couple of weeks, which is great as we like it when it's busy! Thanks again to all of you for helping us stay in the top 40 for 3 weeks! We have been in the studio lately working on the second single, so stay posted to the website for more info. We've also been working on a few more album tracks which are shaping up to be absolutely fantastic. We've been all over the country again being flung from pillar to post on fireworks and Christmas lights gigs. I'm sat in the dressing room right now at the BRMB Christmas Lights gig in Birmingham waiting to go on stage, it's so cold here but not as cold as it's been over the last couple of days where I saw snow of more than a centimetre for the first time in 4 years, but nothing compared to the snow that Ed and Scott might see next week, but that's all I'm staying... It was great to see so many of you at the So..? gig in Sound in London a couple of weeks ago, the support was amazing as always and it was great to play 'Another Total Disaster' for the first time in front of an audience. Hope your all living loud and noisy lives, just like we do in The Noise Next Door!!! Craig | | Scott - Scott's Mad Update!!! | October 28, 2004 Yo guys, how's it going, Scott here talking to you from my insane little world... I've been so excited yet nervous as the single was out on Monday, got my fingers crossed for a good result and it's getting to the point where I'm starting to bite my nails. All this week we've been up and down the country doing signings and performing, it's been so much fun talking to you all, you guys rock! Thank you for all the letters you've given us, we've been reading them between gigs and whenever we get the chance. Your support is so much appreciated! I'll tell you what... I'm gonna be SO nervous on Sunday when the top 40 is announced, wish me luck as I'm cacking myself. See ya's, Scott p.s. keep up the rocking, and remember imaturity is more fun!!! | | Ed - Ed's Update, check it out... | October 28, 2004 hey guys, whats up! it's Ed here talking to you from the toilet as I'm having kittens over the single release, but the signings have helped to calm be down as you guys have been great and well supportive! The BBC was great fun on Tuesday as Craig had to shout to be heard as he didn't have a mic. Then we went up to Birkinhead and Liverpool to sign singles at HMV's, they were great fun and some girls were re-writing the words to Lock Up ya Daughters I think they are on the message board if you want to see the new version. The sugar roadshow is going great guns and if anyone who has seen the shows has an opinion on the song Dirty Girls, email us at info@thenoisenextdoor.com letting us know what you think. Thank you guys, you are all great. We've got loads more to do before the week is over, so hope to see more of you at the Sugar gigs, signings, or maybe at Gunwarf Quays on Friday at 6pm where we're performing at the Power FM Fireworks event. What else can I say but wish us luck with the single on Sunday (I am proper nervous) big up the Barmy Army, the Jaffa Sqaud and the Welsh girls who came all the way to Norwich today, you rule...! Later, Ed p.s. I love Mars Bars and Haribo | | Craig - Craig's Release Week Update | October 28, 2004 Hey everyone, Craig here talking to you, well trying! I bet it will take me an hour to finish writing this as I can't stop shaking at the thought of Sunday! but you guys have been so cool and supported that I haven't been hospitalised as a bag of nerves... yet!!! Thanks for that! It's been so cool during the last week as we've been able to get our fingers into all areas of the music business in the SAME WEEK! we had TV with CBBC XChange on Monday, and CBBC on Tuesday morning on BBC2, we have been up and down the country doing signings which I must say have been fantastic... you guys ROCK...! we have done interviews for radio and more TV and amongst all that we have been performing on the Sugar Magazine tour which has been amazing as everyone involved are super-cool, which makes a great combination with all you guys in the crowds for a brilliant week. Thanks for all the letters, we've been reading them in the car as we speed from place to place and we are so greatful that we have your support. I would like to thank the Barmy Army for all the work they are doing on they're site and the street team for being totally ace! Wish us luck on Sunday!!! catch ya later, CRAIG p.s. I hope the Jaffa Squad don't mind but today I bought 3 boxes of Jaffa Cakes but only managed to eat 2, it's hardly a world record..! haha | | Band - Craig | October 22, 2004 Only a few days to go and Lock Up Ya Daughters/Ministry of Mayhem will be in the shops! I can't wait. Hope you all caught The Ministry last weekend - If you didn't - Here's the news! I'll tell you..We can't take Scott anywhere! He always ends up in a mess! But at least he beat Darrius at CakeSkate! 4 meters - Thats pretty good - isn't it? Next time we'll get 10 meters! But he still managed to end up with a massive chocolate cake in his face and then had to play the last song with cream and stuff all over his shirt and in his hair. Me and Ed were watching from back stage with the DOC and we have never laughed so hard in our lives! Ha had us in stitches. And Ed was moaning about a TINY, TINY cut on his hand from playing guitar...(I'd hate to see what he'd be like if he tried to fix a car or something and really hurt himself)and the DOC was just killing us with his medical advice! Anyways, See you on the road somewhere, Laters, Craig | | Band - Ed | October 22, 2004 Hi everyone...Ed calling! This week has been completely mad and hectic - Driving and jetting around the place. This week we did a gig in Scotland for the Sugar Roadshow. It was a place called Braehead Shopping Centre and is was fantastic! All Eyes also played along with Twist and Harvey from So Solid Crew. They were all REALLY COOL! It was well funny because me and one of the guys from All Eyes got lost in the shopping centre trying to find the toilet and it took so long to find our way back I was late for an interview and he was late for a film piece he was meant to be doing! Harvey was great and he gave me some great advice on the music biz and stuff and then later after we had all said our goodbyes we met again at the Starbucks in the airport! Got to go now...Hore hectic stuff...I think we are doing something on the Disney Channel next and then we are off to Northern Ireland to do a show in Newry! Keep loggin in..and say hello if you see us around... Laters, Ed | | Band - Scott | October 22, 2004 Yo Peeps, On Saturday we played our first arena gig which made me so excited I was bouncing off the walls in the dressing room. I was dead nervous...but then...who wouldn't be. Everyone else playing at the gig were really nice to us(Rachael Stevens, V, VS, Lemarr, Phix)and as we were the NEW GUYS they made us feel really at home! (Thanks For That!) When we finally got on stage the welcome was just totally, totally AMAZING!!!!! I have never heard screaming so loud in my life! It was deafning! And with a BUZZ like that I went MENTAL! I was hitting the drums so hard I cut my knuckles open. Thanks for all your support, Scott! | | Band - Scott's News | October 11, 2004 Yo Peeps Scott Here... Its been a crazy week in our Noisy Little World with all the TV and Stuff! The gig at The Water Rats was a blast..We opened up with a song called I DON'T WANT YOU...which is an acoustic track on the single (you might have heard us do it on the radio)...but this was the full electric version and MY GOD was Ed's solo AMAZZZZZING - He was on fire! It was only a short set of about 5 songs but the vibe from the audience was so good it didn't matter! There was also a set of twins in one of the other bands playing that night and it was good to hear all their stories about swopping around and swopping classes and stuff.... Their drummer was late so they asked me to do the soundcheck - It was COOL! Once again, thanks to all the fans that turned up... We really appreciate it... Take care and remember to Keep On Rocking and Making Loads of NOISE! Scott | | Band - Craig's News | October 11, 2004 Hey guys, Craig here, Went to see Avril Lavigne last night... WOW! It was one of the best shows I've seen ever! When it started I saw her thrashing her guitar to HE WASN'T behind a huge curtain and then when the band kicked in the curtain dropped! I was hooked! She played over an hour of total rock including all her hits and my personal favourite: HAPPY ENDING...and she played a small acoustic set which was fantastic! It was so cool when she finished and the crowd were shouting for more coz she came back on stage ON DRUMS and did a cover of Blur's Song 2. I was almost flying out of my seat with head banging! Simple Plan were supporting and they were really cool. They really knew how to get the crowd going and they played I BELIEVE IN A THING CALLED LOVE better than when I saw The Darkness last year at Reading. Well, got to get back to work now... Catch you later, Craig! | | Band - Eds News | October 11, 2004 Hey Fellow Noise Heads, Ed making noise here.... Hope u all caught this weekend's TV. Among the hair dye, bad chat ups and busking on Top Of The Pops we still found time to pop in to SMILE for a chat with Fern and Raggie and perform Lock Up Ya Daughters. It was well funny coz after the show Raggie got on the drums and Fern can actually play the guitar really well so all they need now is for someone to play bass and then Neville can sing and they can start a band! Hope they don't though coz it might be too much competition! Met the Wellards from Tracey Beaker and they were cool - Except when they were beating up on Scott! Well, got top go now...Just two weeks to go before release of the single so everything is mental....Keep logging on and we will see you on our travels... Laters, Ed...

Craig | | Band - Ed Says: | September 16, 2004 Hey Guys - Ed Here, Just got back from Gibson...Been trying out some new guitars.
