The professional plug-in contains two unique and powerful algorithms to control and manage noise and grain. Each algorithm is customized for different types of image noise problems. The Noise Suppression algorithm works quickly and aggressively on more extreme digital image noise, while the Grain Suppression algorithm is more subtle, focusing on removing film grain patterns and preserving image detail. The plug-in now offers a "Noise Preview Screen" which allows users to define and view the actual noise/grain that they want to remove. Several new sliders have been added to the plug-in so that the user will have greater flexibility and advanced control when working with images. The DIGITAL GEM Professional Plug-In works with both 8-bit and 16-bit images.
